The Win-Win Gift For New Move-ins & Renewals
The “move-in gift” is on its way to extinction as more and more companies consider the concept too costly. Yes, shrink-wrapped baskets packed with items from the “travel section” at your local CVS can definitely be on the costly side……when purchasing from companies such as Can You Imagine or Welcome Home America.
However, I’m not here to talk about how much money you would’ve saved by making the gifts yourself. Those move-in gifts are now old news and as Bobo the Clown said to George in Seinfeld “you’re living in the past man!”
If you’re looking for some extra attention and want to stand out from the crowd, it’s time to add a “tile” to each keychain that has a house key. This little device is amazing and I’m shocked that it’s still not considered a standard in the property management industry. As mentioned in the title, this tiny device is a win-win situation for residential management companies. The biggest benefit would be fewer keys/fobs/garage clickers being lost.
For on-site property management, there is nothing more valuable than TIME. There never seems to be enough of it in the day. What’s the biggest “time-waster” for everyone on-site? LOST KEYS/FOBS/CLICKERS. Are you thinking, “well we upcharge the resident 1000% for keys and access control devices” is the answer to the problem? If yes, you need to ask the employee that’s responsible for making new keys or programming fobs that same question.
I recently purchased this item for my parents who are now retired and living in Florida. It would’ve been great if they had this technology 30 years ago as I could’ve avoided hearing “where are the keys” my entire childhood. The ideas are endless on what you decide to use a “tile” for. However, I know they will provide a major benefit for the property management industry.
Want to take it a step further? For a few hundred dollars, they now sell keyless locks for residential doors. I’m not going into details on this product, but just know that this technology allows people to use their smartphone to open the door instead of a key.
